Her research interests are in cybersecurity, privacy and data Analytics. Before joining academia, she worked for industry developing AI applications for machine understanding of human language. She graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the Houari Boumedienne University of Science and Technology in Algiers and with a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Bristol in England.

Dr. Al-Jamal is currently serving as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston, College of Technology, teaching courses in applications of Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics and Stress Analysis in addition to Technologies in Drilling Engineering and Offshore Systems.
Dr. Al-Jamal has served as an analyst and consultant in different engineering firms specialized in Oil/Gas subsea operations.
He earned his BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Qatar, MSc. & Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston with a specialty in Computational Fluid Dynamics. In addition, He earned a Diploma in Business Management from Stratford Career Institute.
He has 20+ years of experience in computer programming (FORTRAN), 10+ years of oil/gas industrial technical & engineering consultancy experience, 5+ years of business management and 5+ years of academic experience (Lecturer & Teaching Assistant).
Dr. Al-Jamal is skilled in CFD, FEA, and other software tools.

Fouad Hammoud has 35 years of experience in geotechnical engineering mainly in the Gulf Coast of Texas and Louisiana. Mr. Hammoud performed Geotechnical investigations and provided foundation recommendations for liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals, material handling terminals, flood protection structures, bulkheads, roadways pavements, bridge structures, low to high rise structures, utility plants and lines, infrastructures, canals, cut slopes, multi-lane highways, bridges and overpasses, waste disposal facilities, water front structures, and bulkheads. Mr. Hammoud provided field inspection and monitoring of foundation systems such as precast prestressed concrete piles, auger cast-in-place piles, drilled shafts, pipe piles, soil nails, helical anchors.
